The Lesson
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade” was penned by Elbert Hubbard. As much as I love the notion behind this statement, I personally don’t like lemonade. So, what now?
My approach is likely different than yours, but I’ll offer my thoughts just the same.
I used to take a problem and mull it over, and mull it over, and then mull it over some more. There was no end in sight. There was no hope for reprieve anywhere in my future. It was like that one chorus of a song that just won’t leave your mind. And the harder you try to stop it, the more it repeats.
Lately, life has given me more like a lemon tree. The branches are growing, and the fruit is falling faster than I have time to prune or collect.
